Na’aleh Yoga Nidra Journeys for Deep Rest+
Yoga Nidra audio journeys for deep rest and restoration by Ruthie Ayzenberg.
Close Your Eyes and Be Awake...
Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative practice where your body is in a state of deep sleep, while your mind remains awake. This non-sleep deep rest (NSDR) state creates the conditions for nervous system repair and natural healing for the body and mind opening the doors to increased calmness, clarity, creativity, hormonal and metabolic benefits, and emotional resolution. All you have to do is listen to the guided audio and try to stay awake.
Keep in mind that this podcast is created with deference to both Indian Yogic teachings and Jewish wisdom to the best of my knowledge.

Close Your Eyes and Stay Awake...
Join host Ruthie Ayzenberg and guest Deepak Chari for a deep, hopeful conversation about how anxiety, stress, and long-held emotional patterns live in our bodies — and how they can be released. Deepak, an engineer-turned-healer and creator of the Life Transformation Technology Program, explains how advanced voice biofeedback listens to the subconscious intelligence in your voice to uncover ancestral, prenatal, and childhood imprints that shape confidence, relationships, and wellbeing.
This episode covers Deepak’s personal story, why he moved from engineering into emotional healing, and the four phases that form emotional imprints. Ruthie and Deepak walk through concrete case studies and outcomes as Deepak explains his stepwise approach and how the work meets each person where they are. This episode connects voice-based biofeedback to the inward, restorative work of yoga nidra and offers immediate tools plus a clear pathway for deeper transformation.

NA'ALEH YOGA: Yoga Nidra Journeys for Deep Rest
Close Your Eyes and Stay Awake...
In this episode, I am delighted to chat with Shaina Hammer, a birth doula and licensed clinical social worker, about what it really means to prepare for birth and postpartum in a way that supports your nervous system, mental health, and optimizes your rest.
We explore how practices like yoga nidra, meditation, hypnobirthing and self-care can help you feel more grounded during pregnancy, support early labor, and ease the transition into postpartum. Shaina shares thoughtful insights from both the therapy room and the birth space, including how postpartum depression can go unnoticed, how birth trauma can be gently healed, and why having compassionate, nonjudgmental support can make such a difference.
Whether you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, supporting a loved one, or working in the birth or mental health world, this episode offers grounded wisdom, practical tools, and a sense of being deeply understood.
Shaina's bio:
Shaina is a birth doula and mental health professional, who works with women through a deeply holistic, mind–body approach to birth and motherhood. She teaches conscious and mindfulness-based birthing classes that draw from hypnobirthing, meditation, and somatic awareness, helping parents prepare for birth as a full human experience—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Her work emphasizes how the mind plays a powerful and specific role in birth, and how awareness, intention, and presence can shape the experience. In addition to birth preparation, she supports mothers after birth through a variety of healing modalities, including compassionate care for those processing birth trauma, creating space for integration, grounding, and restoration in the postpartum period.

NA'ALEH YOGA: Yoga Nidra Journeys for Deep Rest
Close Your Eyes and Stay Awake...
In this episode, I'm honored to speak with Uri Kelman, a meditation teacher and guide. Uri, originally from LA and now living in Israel, shares how meditation and breathwork became his lifeline during a difficult divorce and how those practices helped him reconnect to himself, his spirituality, and his sense of joy. In our conversation, we discuss meditation for beginners, mindfulness, the chakras and the kabbalistic sefirot, spirituality, healing and living intuitively. Whether you’ve ever felt lost, anxious, or stuck in the middle of a life shift or simply curious to learn more about meditation, this episode is for you.
Uri's bio:
Uri Kelman is a meditation guide, spiritual practitioner, and father of four who weaves together wisdom from Buddhism, Taoism, Kabbalah, and Jewish tradition. His work is rooted in presence, emotional honesty, and the practice of opening the heart. Uri draws from his own journey of healing, including meditation, breathwork, and reflective practice, to support others in reconnecting with gratitude and clarity. He believes that spirituality is not about escaping life, but about learning to meet each moment with awareness and compassion. Through guided practices and heartfelt reflections, Uri invites others to slow down, release what no longer serves them, and trust the natural unfolding of life. His teachings are grounded, relatable, and shaped by a deep respect for both ancient traditions and modern experiences of growth, love, and loss.

NA'ALEH YOGA: Nidra Journeys for Deep Rest+
Close Your Eyes and Stay Awake...
This episode is part of the Jewish Calendar Series and is created for the month of Av. This month focuses on rectifying the sense of hearing and invites you to descend into the healing darkness where you can listen deeply to connect with the resonance of your soul.
Through practicing Yoga Nidra, you take a pause from all the sensory input channels except for sound so you can focus on the space within. This practice of Yoga Nidra guides you in the exploration of sound as you journey through the layers of consciousness from the body, breath, and mind to your deeper understanding and soul consciousness. Instead of a traditional verbal visualization, this practice contains a non-verbal sound visualization sequence to support deepest listening beyond that which words can express, while you are held in a state of relaxation.
Please note that this practice may bring out unexpected emotions or memories. This is completely normal, and you are encouraged to welcome all that shows up with curiosity and compassionate witnessing. If this is not the right time for you to elicit emotions, then a milder practice may be better suited for the time being.
Prepare for a transformative experience as you receive the gift of rest in the stillness of your soul. Allow your body and mind to relax deeply as you sail through sounds and silence and hear your soul's whispers.
Episode Summary:

Welcome to the practice of Yoga Nidra
Hi there! I'm Ruthie Ayzenberg and I'm delighted to share with you the worlds of yoga and healing. Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative practice where you are invited to enter the space between conscious sleep and wakefulness: your body is in a state of deep sleep, while your mind remains awake. From this open state, natural reparation and healing can begin to happen for the physical body, subtle body, mind, and spirit.
Keep in mind that this podcast is created with deference to both Yogic teachings and Torah compliance to the best of my knowledge.
